Product Summary

These Tumbled Georgian / Regency Red Bricks with their soft edges and aged appearance are designed to emulate period bricks. This will allow you to tackle historic projects and restorations in a more cost-effective manner than when using reclaimed bricks. "Red rubber" clay produced the traditional handmade Georgian / Regency red bricks that were used extensively across England, Wales and Scotland during the housing boom in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The colour is a soft orange-red with flecks from the ash and buff/yellow "sand struck" residue from the moulding process that gives this bricks their uniqueness and random patterns. The manufacturing process means each brick has unique patterns of compression folds where the clay is pushed into the mould; these lines are called creases or smiles and are synonymous with period/historic brick-making techniques, giving your build an authentic historic look and feel.
