900 x 600 Slabs

Like their smaller brethren, 900 x 600 slabs originate from 600 series natural stone paving and have become an industry standard for a large format patio slab.

Advantages of 900 x 600 Paving

Whilst considered a large-format slab, 900x600 paving can be laid by one person, which naturally keeps installation labour costs down when doing a patio or landscaping project. The 3:2 ratio also means that laying patterns are generally uncomplicated and less prone to issues, and the size of the slabs also makes calculations relatively easy too.

  • Ease of installation
  • Labour costs
  • More coverage
  • Aesthetics
As simple as it may sound, the larger size of this paving format ticks the box from a form and function point of view. Functionally, the larger slabs each provide greater metre-squared coverage, so it means fewer stones are laid to cover given area and more paving surface is provided.
The 900 x 600 format also provides a cleaner, less complicated aesthetic. This is one of the reasons many homeowners and landscapers go for 900x600 slabs - the larger format and cleaner lines tend to suit modern contemporary design concepts, especially when sawn paving is used to allow narrow jointing.

900 x 600 Natural Stone

We offer our full range of Classic Sandstone in 900 x 600 format in a variety of colours, plus our Sawn Limestone and Sawn Sandstone ranges too. We also have both 900x 600 slate and granite patio paving available in single size packs as well.

900 x 600 Porcelain

As the latest development in paving technology, high-performance porcelain paving has followed the industry standard and many 900x600 porcelain slabs are available in a variety of styles and colours. Vitrified porcelain is non-porous and very hard wearing and durable, being abrasion and stain-resistant, and resistant to freeze-thaw cycles than can weaken stone and concrete over time.
