This week we’ve been reorganising some of our storage areas and have had the good fortune to discover some porcelain slabs which have been lying dormant for some time. It’s in great condition, as is often the case with porcelain, but needs to find a home soon to make way for newer stock. It’s an ideal solution for those who want the sleek durability of porcelain at an affordable price.
Benefits of Porcelain
The porcelain manufacturing process allows it to be highly versatile when it comes to finishes, so it can emulate all kinds of natural stone surface. However, unlike natural stone, porcelain is highly durable, UV resistant, and impermeable to water. Because of this, benefits include:
- Resistance to rain and frost damage
- No need for sealing
- Resistance to scratching and abrasions
- A consistent colour that holds true against sun bleaching.
The durability of porcelain makes it an excellent choice for those who do not want to be constantly replacing their paving as they weather. These clearance porcelain slabs are great examples of how it can stand the test of time.
