Product Summary

These Imperial Blend Clay Red Bricks are archetypal of Georgian period handmade red bricks. They are imperial sized brick (68 x 230 x 110 mm) and are manufactured using traditional hand-thrown techniques.  Aesthetically, they offer a period look and feel, which is derived from their traditional manufacturing process (which is the same method that would have been used to make bricks in the 18th and 19th Centuries). Therefore, they are ideal as a cost-effective alternative to reclamation bricks when working on period restorations and historically based construction projects.

They are ideal for garden borders and edging, decorative paving elements, landscaping features and other period and historic applications within your garden's design. These traditional red building bricks are also suitable as a facing clay masonry unit for internal or external use, load bearing or non load bearing masonry structures.

Imperial Blend Clay Red Bricks have a lovely balance of red, orange and soft brown colouring combined with random creases (aka "smiles"), residual sand from the "sand struck" hand-thrown moulds and kiln soot/coal spotted. They are certified BS EN 771-1 and have an F2 Frost Resistance rating.
