Product Summary

Hampton Blend are a mix of high quality red/orange handmade pavers with some subtle weathering and a sand creased texture. Because they are manufactured using traditional clamp fired brick making techniques from the 16th century, they look and feel the same as genuine period clay pavers. This makes them a cost-effective alternative to more expensive reclaimed brick pavers, and ensures there is an available supply (e.g. no prolonged sourcing required) for your paving project.

These attractive clay pavers are clamp fired which produces natural colour variation, ideal for creating an instantly established, characterful look for both new and older properties.

Ideal for garden patios, terraces, pathways, seating areas, decorative paving, edging and borders. Suitable for internal and external use, fully frost resistant and manufactured to BS EN 1344 standards.

Traditional Clay Brick Pavers

Based on typical clay paving bricks dating from the Tudor to Queen Anne period where clamp fired bricks were the norm, these Hampton Blend Pavers provide the look and feel of traditional period clay brick pavers. Their colour variation (a by-product of clamp firing) and subtle weathering provides instant charm and a historic and established aesthetic.

Brick Colouring

Hampton Pavers have a mix of mainly red and orange brick colours, with darker hues and marks from coal and soot used in the firing process. These colours are in keeping and closely match historic pavers, and posses the same patchwork of tones in the overall palette found in the 16th, 17th and early 18th centuries.

Garden Paving Bricks

These clay paving brick are suitable for a range of garden paving and landscaping applications, including patios and terraces, steps and landings, paths and walkways, edging and borders. They can also be used to create decorative elements in your paving from feature surrounds, to inlays and patterned motifs.

Laying Patterns

The 200 x 100 x 50 mm size format of these paving bricks means they can be easily laid in a range of different designs, and are suitable for the following common patterns:

  • brick / stretcher bond
  • basket weave
  • herringbone (90 degree)
  • herringbone (45 degree)

They are also suitable as edging to other paving, and can be laid in a range of manners:

  • Stretcher / Double Stretcher / Triple Stretcher
  • Soldier Course
  • Inlay Pencil Course
  • Sawtooth Edging

Hand Made Bricks

These paving bricks are hand-made using traditional manufacturing and firing methods, which ensures they have all the character tics and appearance of period brick pavers such as crease, coal spots and temperature related colour variation. They also have sand-struck residue from their moulds that is present on some bricks, giving them an authentic hand-made, historic appearance.

Cost-Efficient Alternate to Reclaimed Bricks

Because these bricks are hand-made using the same methods and techniques used from the 15th Century, they closely resemble genuine clay pavers of that era. However, they are substantially more cost-efficient and much easier to sources. These bricks offer you the look and feel you need, but with the surety of supply and not breaking your budget either!
